/* TRIP IS OVER */

The first edition of TRiP took place in Benevento in January 1998, already enjoying considerable success and bringing together nearly 100 technical developers and computer art and programming experts.

This year, there were more than 150 developers from Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and Spain. If we include the gamers participating in the tournaments and the visitors who enjoyed guided tours of the development area, we count more than 500 people inside the evocative panorama of over 120 machines all networked together and just as many monitors glowing in the darkness like so many little fireflies.

Don't miss TOYS, the Hardware3D Demo by Gods, a French band that swept the board with a beautiful Disney-esque animation, taking home a Silicon Graphics O2. JapoTek also performed well, placing first in the Demo Compo, and RamJam's Java contribution was splendid. The WildTrax experiment, a new music competition, also performed well, with remarkable track quality. Wizard's Psycopatological Dilator won this competition, taking home a beautiful Roland XP60 synthesizer. Also worthy of mention is Suburban, an Austrian/German band that placed third in the 64K Intro competition, won by Spinning Kids.
